Bathtime

It's hard to get Serena out of the bath - usually she wants to stay in until the water is ice cold and she's shivering! Often I have to keep adding warm water to keep her from freezing.

Monday

Today Serena decided to root through my purse. Even after being scolded (albeit mildly), and even photographed, she was not deterred. She wanted lipstick!

Sunday Pancakes

Weekend mornings mean pancakes. Serena likes blueberries or raisins in hers.

Valentine's Day Outfit

I'll admit it; I'm a sucker for any cute little outfit for Serena that catches my eye. And when you're not even two years old, you can totally get away with hot pink, heart-printed velour dresses with hot pink leggings.

Serena is currently very interested in noises: when she hears one unfamiliar to her, she will look around and ask, "Mommy, what's that noise?" If she hears something loud and unpleasant, such as the food processor or the vacuum, she will hold her ears and yell, "noise!!!"

She is also learning the alphabet and her numbers, a process aided by endless repetitions of the alphabet song, and counting everything we see (toes, fingers, carrots, dogs, wheels, etc.).

Her favorite activities are taking a bubble bath, playing on the slide and the swings at the playground, and dancing. Almost every day, we put on music and dance around the living room together. Serena has a lot of great moves, which I hope to get video of soon and promise to post here when I do.

New Blog for Serena

Hello family and friends,

Rather than inundate you with emails and annoying websites that demand registration to view pictures of our favorite toddler, I decided to create a blog devoted to Serena. You can check here anytime to see the latest posts, and if you want, you can create an RSS feed so that you are automatically notified whenever a new post is up.

Enjoy!
